WHEW! Everyone has been so busy during the “Back to School” and autumn rush that nailing someone down to ask questions has been almost impossible. Thankfully we were able to get Lisa Munn, one of our most creative and talented team members in the spotlight.
Q – Lisa, what drew you into real estate?
L – This is one of the largest and most exciting transactions a person makes in their life. Being a part of that is so exciting and rewarding, so I knew I wanted to make it my career.
Q – So what drew you to Quinn & Wilson once you made that choice?
L – I wanted someplace that had the “boutique” experience and that gave back to the community. Quinn & Wilson provided both, so the choice was easy.
Q – Who is one celebrity, living or dead, that you would want to sell a home to?
L – Wow, that’s tough. There are so many. Let’s come back to that later.
Q – OK, so what are three things people don’t know about you?
L – I love the water – I really enjoy deep sea fishing for Blue marlin and sail fish as well as fly fishing for trout. I am an artistic, creative person.
Q – What is your favorite architectural style?
L – A Tudor – they just exude charm. I love the asymmetrical style of architecture; characterized by steep pitched roofs, decorative half timbering and embellished doorways.
Q – Great choice, there are certainly some gorgeous ones in this area. Switching gears, tell us something your day can’t begin without?
L – My day can’t begin without a little time for gratitude and/or some meditation, as well as a quick chat with my three kids and a cup of tea…with lots of milk.
Q – What are your favorite local activities (in other words how do you stay engaged with the community)?
L- I love walking my yellow Labrador retrieve, Bristol, volunteering at school and I have done some volunteer work at Abington Hospital.
Q – That’s great stuff. Now if you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want to have with you?
L – That’s easy. Three kids. We’d all be stranded but we would be together.
Q – Love that answer. So Lisa, what is the most used app on your phone?
L – Ha! I am directionally-challenged so chances are it is my Waze. But it could be HomeSnap, the new real estate app that allows me to see the MLS remotely and also allows customers to find house information just by taking a picture. It is really cool and it allows them to communicate with me right inside the portal.
Q – What is your #1 tip for home buyers or sellers?
L – Use a Quinn & Wilson agent. I know that sounds trite, but I am not kidding when I say the level of experience in here and the support of the management team to the success of each transaction is superior to any other firm out there.
Q – I second that motion. Now, what would you say is the top misconception about the real estate business?
L – That it is easy. Which supports my answer about Q&W too. These are not simple transactions anymore, yet people think anyone can do it. Definitely not the case.
Q – Final question. When the business is done and you have some free time, what is your idea of an ideal night out?
L – Actually, when that time comes and things calm down I much prefer a quiet night in with my family and friends.
