For the first time in our Market Research Monday history we’re venturing into the city of Philadelphia.  Quinn & Wilson agents work with a ton of buyers and sellers throughout the city, but because the real estate in Philadelphia varies so much we don’t list it specifically on our “Neighborhoods” page, but we like to highlight areas when we can.

Somerton is in the Far Northeast, buffered by parts of Montgomery and Bucks Counties.  It is an area with high real estate turnover with many first-time homebuyers settling into communities that support their needs. Somerton is also an area of high commercial activity, especially along Bustleton Pike and the Roosevelt Boulevard (which serves as the eastern border of the 19116 zip code).

When buying homes in Somerton, or any other part of the city of Philadelphia, one must be aware that some of the bureaucracy involved with transferring ownership is more difficult than it may be in the suburbs.  That is not a problem for us as our in-house conveyancing team is well-versed in the process, but it does occasionally mean that settlements may take longer while we wait for paperwork from City Hall.  If you are looking to buy or sell in Somerton, it is best to work with someone who understands the Far Northeast and Philadelphia Real Estate.  Quinn & Wilson agents can help you – if you are interested please feel free to contact us.!
