As we count down the days until Christmas it seemed only appropriate that we turn the attention of our Market Research Monday series to one of the most well-known Christmas towns in the United States…Bethlehem, PA.
While Bethlehem is in Northampton County and Lehigh County – not Montgomery, Philadelphia, or Bucks – it is still an area we monitor for clients looking to move from New York or Philadelphia. It’s location between Rts 78 and 22 has made it an ideal spot for people headed either direction – and some of our own Quinn & Wilson team have made the move from the Lehigh Valley in the past.
The full report on Bethlehem sales activity can be seen here. As you can tell, there is more buyer activity in this area than in some of the smaller communities we feature in our normal MRM, but the size of Bethlehem (over 19 square miles) is a bit larger than most of our local municipalities. Real Estate in Bethlehem varies in type and value, and there are many homes that were once the property of Bethlehem Steel employees which now offer great opportunity to first-time buyers.
The decorated Hotel Bethlehem, the Christkindlemart, and the Bethlehem Christmas Star are well known as “must-see” attractions around the holidays. During the entire year people come to Bethlehem for events at the Steel Stacks performace stages and musuem, as well as to try their luck at the Wind Creek Casino…both of which occupy the ground where the former Bethlehem Steeel plant once created much of the steel armor that protected our tanks in World Wars I & II.
If you are looking to buy or sell real estate in Bethlehem it is possible our Quinn & Wilson team can help you, or if your situation requires someone a bit “closer to home” we will use our connection of hundreds of professional relationships to make sure we get you the right fit. Just contact us to get the ball rolling.
Merry Christmas from the Quinn & Wilson team!
